That's not necessarily a blunder. We don't know how many units they will have ready for sale or how many will be sold in each territory. This move may keep them from falling behind in the 13 territories that they launch from first.
October 21 makes sense to me. I can't buy it until it it available for sale. And I can't play it until I buy it.
But we don't yet know that the PS4 release markets will be, do we? The PS4 could shift consoles to the same 13 markets in order to combat the X1. I'm not saying that they will, just point out that we don't know. If that info has already been released and I missed it, then I am asking for a link.
There is no way in hell that Microsoft releases the Xbox 1 in Q1 2014. They are going to release the Xbone this holiday season even if the system doesn't turn on when you hit the power button. They'll fix that later.
Are you guys looking at the same game that I am. While he was talking I was watching the FFXV footage running in the background and it looks awesome. My only concern is that I hope the game remembers to slow down and give us some freedom and choice on where to go and which quests to take. I don't want another long corridor on rails like FFXIII was.
But I got no complaints on what I'm seeing of that combat. It's not turn based, but let's see how it actua...
Sure they don't. (sarcasm)
You forgot the mandatory headset. That's another 180. So it adds up to 900.
If you think the "not required to play but still required to purchase" Kinect looks bad now, imagine what it will look like if Sony announces a PS4 + PSVita bundle for $500.
I agree it's it going to come back and bite them. They basically announced to the world that they are forcing their customers to buy something that...
1) a sizable chunk of their fanbase doesn't want,
2) won't be used much in ANY 3rd party multi-plat titles, and
3) they don't have any first-party AAA franchises for.
Why make customers buy it then? The most logical answer is that they want the money.
People who wou...
Lots of fighters, especially the 3-D fighters ARE NOT based on the half-circle, quarter-circle, dragon-punch motion control scheme. You have to deliberately skip the between directions often. You may have to do something like df, ub, f, punch, without hitting any directions in-between. For doing that, a D-pad is much better than a thumbstick. Or at least normal D-pads are, with the Xbox D-pads, both the 360 and the Xbox 1, Sr. I'm not so sure.
The Xbox D-pad sucked. ...
If Microsoft believed that all games would go digital download, and that Gamestop would die in the process, then they would have just made the Xbone a download-only console. But they did not do that because they knew that the marketplace is not going there, at least not in the next generation.
Gamers like to own their games, period. No one would take a download only console seriously. So Microsoft tried to use its market power to take ownership away from the gamers.
@Brutallyhonest
Did you really spend $1000 on a Forza wheel? Or, did you mean over $1000 on Forza and Forza related accessories for the 360 including the wheel and other things?
Either way you are the perfect illustration of Microsoft's problem. The policies that Microsoft has been attempting to put in place are so bad that they have driven people like you away from their product.
Sometimes people make mistakes. They sometimes get into...
Westernized JRPGs are fine, as long as they remember to put the "RPG" in it.
I want a Western RPG with Japanese drawing style and story matter.
I think the bundle could very well happen. The question is at what price. I think doing this bundle at $499 or $549 boxes the Xbox One in and makes anyone who is about to drop $499 on an Xbone reconsider whether they would be better or buying the PS4/Vita bundle and getting two systems for the same amount of money.
As for me, at $500 I'm in, at $550, I'm out.

The Xbox One WILL NOT function as a cable box. You still need a cable box in order to watch cable TV.
Why do fish swim in the water? Why do beavers build dams? Why does the Xbox 1 have its best features behind a pay-wall? Why do honey bees make honey?
All these questions have the same answer, my friend. It's their nature. If they didn't do those things they wouldn't be who they are.
If the honeybee didn't make honey, it wouldn't be a honeybee, it would be some other kind of bee. Likewise, if the Xbox One gave you access to inte...
We already have wireless electricity. It's called "lightning".
The Vita costs as much as a PS3, literally. How can they expect anybody to buy one?
The only people who would buy are one are wealthy children and adults who already have PS3.
The US Economy has been down for about 7 years, not 5 years.
